Promoting Social and Economic Integration of the West African Diaspora in the United States

Overview

The Camala Foundation supports the West African diaspora through culturally tailored programs that foster integration, empowerment, and opportunity. Our initiatives help community members navigate life in the U.S. while preserving and celebrating their unique heritage.

Our Programs Include:

  • Language and Cultural Navigation: Helping immigrants learn English and understand U.S. systems, while preserving cultural identity and traditions specific to West African countries.
  • Entrepreneurship Workshops: Offering mentorship, business planning, financial literacy, and marketing guidance tailored to West African immigrants, with connections to startup funding.
  • Community Events: Hosting festivals, networking opportunities, and educational programs that celebrate the diverse cultures of West Africa, fostering unity and belonging.
  • Employment Assistance: Connecting individuals with job training, resume development, and career placement services sensitive to their backgrounds.
  • Mental Health Support: Providing culturally aware counseling and support groups to address immigrant challenges within the diaspora.
