At the Camala Foundation, we are dedicated to improving health outcomes in Guinea-Bissau by tackling leading public health challenges and empowering communities with education and direct intervention.
Our Focus Areas:- Maternal and Child Health: Providing quality prenatal, childbirth, and neonatal care, health education, and support to reduce maternal and infant mortality.
- Nutrition and Hygiene: Promoting healthy, balanced local diets and sanitation practices to combat malnutrition and waterborne illnesses.
- Vaccination Drives: Collaborating with health partners to deliver life-saving vaccines and track immunization schedules.
- Oncological Diseases: Raising cancer awareness, supporting early detection programs, and improving access to care for cancer patients.
- Digital Medical Literacy: Training communities to use digital tools and access reliable medical resources, empowering informed health decisions.
- HIV/AIDS Relief and Prevention: Outreach, testing, and treatment access; fighting mother-to-child transmission.
- Tuberculosis (TB) Awareness: Community education, early detection, and access to treatment for TB-affected populations.
- Malaria Prevention: Workshops, rural outreach, and distribution of mosquito nets and preventive supplies.
- Vaccinate 10,000 children against preventable diseases.
- Educate 15,000 families on nutrition and hygiene.
